Call for Proposals: Regulatory Approaches to Emerging Technology (Deadline: September 18, 2025)

SBCA Organizational Affiliate the GW Regulatory Studies Center is seeking proposals for research papers on regulatory approaches to emerging technologies—including AI, drones, personalized healthcare, and cryptocurrencies. Selected authors will receive a $5,000 honorarium, workshop their ideas with experts at GW, and present at a public event in Washington, DC, in fall 2026. Learn more>>

HM Treasury Review of Discount Rates — Call for Academic Input

HM Treasury has launched a formal review of the Green Book discount rate used in social cost-benefit analysis and is seeking input from the academic community. SBCA members and others working in benefit-cost analysis are invited to contribute via a short survey, open through Feb. 27.

Member Resource — MOOC on Policy Instrument Design

SBCA members may be interested in a massive open online course (MOOC) focused on the design of policy instruments for environmental management, climate policy and circular economy issues.
